  Absolutely awful. This a completely honest genuine review of my experience.
  
  I am certainly never coming here again after the experience I had. Facilities were poor, looking old and tired. I came for the purpose of relaxation and came out feeling less relaxed.
  
  I used the sauna, steam room and whirlpool as well as the main swimming pool (which I had to walk through cold reception in front of everyone and up the stairs dripping wet with a towel round me to get to from the spa area - I was not told about this and had to ask). I felt these facilities were dated and had a very poor level of cleanliness. Staff were helpful and friendly but that was the only positive.
  
  Not only was the experience poor but I paid a ridiculous £10.30 for it! Absolute rip off when I compare other leisure centres charging as low as £2 for a hugely better experience.
  
  This place quite frankly needs knocking down being over 60 years old. The manager I spoke admitted this and is aware of the number of poor reviews online.
  
  Providing I get a full refund I shall be happy however I am never returning to this place again. Stay clear - you have been warned.
  
  UPDATE April 2018: No refund whatsoever. I have been completely ignored with no reponse to my complaint. Absolutely ridiculous.

  We went to the swim pool this Sunday, 3 adults with 3 kids, one of them in a buggy.
  We weren't told that the big pool was closed for an event, that's first.
  No elevator was available due to a break down. Second.
  The girls and women changed in the changing room downstairs, went out and were told to go back, dress up and then go upstairs for the swim pool. Third
  The pool was overcrowded, but the kids didn't mind, I won't count it as Fourth.
  Fourth, after the time limited session has ended (1 hour is not too bad, but still, let your customers decide), all the customers were gently reminded to leave the facility.
  Fifth, there was only 1 hair dryer in the ladies changing room, and for those who brought their own hair dryer, there was only one socket that wasn't working.
  So overall impression of this place is AVOID AVOID. Spend your money and time at some place more customer-friendly.
